(4) considérant que l'article 7, paragraphe 3, troisième alinéa, du règlement (CE) n° 1260/1999 dispose que dans les cas des objectifs n° 1 et n° 2, ces répartitions distinguent les allocations de crédits destinées aux régions et zones bénéficiant du soutien transitoire; que ces allocations sont déterminées selon les critères visés au premier alinéa de ce même paragraphe et que la répartition annuelle de ces crédits est dégressive à partir du 1er janvier 2000 et sera inférieure en 2000 à celle de 1999; que le profil du soutien transitoire peut être adapté en fonction des besoins spécifiques des différentes régions et que la Commission a pris en considération les demandes exprimées à cet égard par les États membres, compte tenu de la répartition annuelle des ressources des Fonds structurels figurant à l'annexe du règlement (CE) n° 1260/1999;
(4) Whereas the third subparagraph of Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999 stipulates, in the case of Objectives 1 and 2, that these breakdowns are to distinguish allocations of appropriations to regions and areas benefiting from transitional support, that these allocations are to be determined in accordance with the criteria referred to in the first subparagraph of that Article and that the annual breakdown of these appropriations is to be degressive as from 1 January 2000 and must be lower in 2000 than in 1999; whereas the transitional support profile may be tailored to the specific needs of the individual regions, and whereas the Commission has taken into consideration the Member States' requests in this respect, taking account of the annual breakdown of Structural Fund resources set out in the Annex to Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999;
