TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

14. fait part de son indignation à l'égard de l'incarcération de dirigeants et journalistes de l'opposition depuis janvier 2012, et appelle les autorités kazakhes à faire cesser la répression dont sont l'objet l'opposition et les médias indépendants du pays et à libérer toutes les personnes incarcérées pour des motifs politiques, dont Vladimir Kozlov, chef du parti Alga, et Igor Vinyavskiy, rédacteur en chef du journal Vzglyad, ainsi que toutes les personnes encore en détention qui sont mentionnées dans les récentes déclarations de l'Union européenne publiées à l'issue de réunions du Conseil permanent de l'OSCE; demande à ce que M. Kozlov puisse s'entretenir avec sa famille proche, y compris sa femme, et à que soit conduite une évaluation indépendante de son état de santé; se félicite de la libération de Natalia Sokolova, avocate des syndicats de la compagnie pétrolière Karazhanbasmunai, qui avait précédemment été condamnée à six ans de prison, une peine qui a été réduite à trois ans avec sursis; déplore néanmoins qu'il soit toujours interdit à Mme Sokolova de prendre part à des activités syndicales durant la période du sursis, en vertu de l'arrêt de la cour suprême;

Expresses its indignation at the incarceration of opposition leaders and journalists since January 2012, and calls on the Kazakh authorities to end the clampdown on the opposition and the independent media in the country and release all persons incarcerated on political grounds, including the leader of the Alga party Vladimir Kozlov and the editor-in-chief of the Vzglyad newspaper Igor Vinyavskiy, as well as all persons mentioned in recent EU statements in the OSCE Permanent Council who are still in detention; calls for Mr Kozlov to be given access to his immediate family, including his wife, and for an independent assessment of his medical condition; welcomes the release of Natalya Sokolova, lawyer for the Karazhanbasmunai oil company's labour unions, who was previously sentenced to six years in prison, now reduced to a three-year probation; regrets nevertheless that Ms Sokolova is still prohibited from participating in trade union activities during her probation;

P. whereas during the last two months, the opposition parties and organisations Alga, Azat and the Socialist Movement of Kazakhstan, as well as independent media including the Vzglyad, Golos Republik and Respublika newspapers and the satellite TV channel STAN TV, and independent trade unions including the Zhanartu union and other civil society organisations, have become targets of intensified repression, with the detention inter alia of the leader of the Alga party Vladimir Kozlov and the editor-in-chief of Vzgyad Igor Vinyavski; whereas on 28 January 2012 around 1000 people in Almaty took part in an unauthorised protest against the repression, calling on the authorities to put an end to political persecution;
