I would like to conclude by thanking Parliament again for this debate, confirming what I said in my earlier speech, in reply to Mr Jarzembowski, Mr Simpson and Mr Blokland, as regards the commitment I am making today as Commissioner for Transport – and I hope to be able to do so again as future Commissioner for Transport – concerning the codecision procedure for matters relating to the issue of slots.

Partant, je souhaite remercier MM. Jarzembowski et Blokland, ainsi que les deux commissions, pour le travail et les efforts qu'ils ont fournis pour faire preuve d'ambition, de réalisme et de sens commun, et soutenir la décision des quinze pays au sein de l'OACI et, par la même occasion, la décision internationale.
I would therefore like to thank Mr Jarzembowski and Mr Blokland and the two committees for their ambitious and at the same time realistic work and efforts, which show common sense and support for the decision of the 15 countries in the ICAO and therefore for the international decision.

Ce que je souhaite avant tout, c'est remercier très sincèrement M. Jarzembowski du magnifique travail qu'il a réalisé sur un sujet très délicat, ainsi que M. Blokland pour tous les amendements très positifs - pour l'environnement - qu'il a apportés à cette proposition de la Commission.
What I wish to do first is to warmly thank Mr Jarzembowski for the wonderful work he has done on a very delicate issue and also Mr Blokland for the series of very positive amendments – in terms of the environment – which he has contributed to this Commission proposal.
