1. Pour chaque FIA de l’Union qu’ils gèrent et pour chaque FIA qu’ils commercialisent dans l’Union, les gestionnaires mettent à la disposition des investisseurs du FIA, conformément au règlement ou aux documents constitutifs du FIA, les informations suivantes, avant qu’ils n’investissent dans le FIA, ainsi que tout changement substantiel concernant ces informations:

3. Member States may establish a procedure which allows a service provider who intends to make or irrevocably contract for significant investments in immovable assets during the last 10 years before the end of the existing authorisation and can demonstrate that these investments will lead to an improvement in the overall efficiency of the service concerned, to request the competent authority to launch a selection procedure in accordance with Article 8 for a new authorisation before the authorisation in question expires or to extend the existing authorisation for a period of 10 years once during the last 10 years of validity of the authorisation.

The projects included in this programme cover solely the cross-border sections of the priority projects proposed by the Commission on 1 October 2003, subject to their compliance with the following four criteria: (1) that they should be ready to start immediately – the objective being that substantial investments be made by the end of 2006; (2) that they should have strong cross-border impact; (3) that they should yield positive results in terms of growth, jobs and (4) should be beneficial in terms of the protection of the environment.
