Je trouve ironique que, dans le contexte d’un gouvernement qui a présenté la Loi sur la protection des dénonciateurs dès son arrivée au pouvoir comme gouvernement minoritaire, ce soit le Parti conservateur qui intervienne ici aujourd’hui pour protéger et appuyer un ardent défenseur de l’accès à l’information, un véritable dénonciateur des méfaits et du secret qui entourent le gouvernement libéral.
I find it ironic that with a government that has brought forward a whistleblower protection act as one of the earliest pieces of legislation in this minority Parliament, it is the Conservative Party that is standing here today protecting and advancing a tough defender of access to information, a true whistleblower on the misdeeds and the shroud of secrecy that surround this Liberal government.
