Au nom de ce droit universel, qui est l’un des points forts du Traité constitutionnel, et en complément de la création d’une commission internationale qui commencera bientôt à travailler, je demande aux autorités roumaines nouvellement élues de ne pas perdre un temps précieux et, pour Noël, de donner à ces enfants des parents qui les aiment déjà et avec lesquels ils pourront construire un avenir meilleur dans une Europe pacifique.
In the name of that universal right, which is one of the strong points of the Constitutional Treaty, and in addition to the creation of an international commission to start work straight away, I call on the newly-elected Romanian authorities not to waste precious time and, for Christmas, to give those children the parents that already love them and with whom they can build a better future in a peaceful Europe.
