Le programme des Nations unies pour les établissements humains (ONU-Habitat) a également invité l’UE à participer pour la première fois à un débat mondial sur l’avenir du développement urbain, dans le cadre d’une contribution conjointe à la conférence Habitat III[27]. Cette contribution commune au débat international s’appuiera naturellement sur les réflexions que l’UE a entamées concernant l’élaboration d’un programme européen pour ses propres villes.
The United Nations Human Settlement Programme, UN Habitat, has also asked the EU to contribute for the first time to a global debate on the future of urban development, in a joint contribution to the HABITAT III conference.[27] Such a contribution would naturally build on the EU's reflections on an EU Agenda for its own cities, which would provide a basis for a common contribution to the international debate.
