(15) In order to fill the gaps in question, it should be provided that the Member State where the insurance undertaking is authorised should require the undertaking to appoint claims representatives resident or established in the other Member States to collect all necessary information in relation to claims resulting from such accidents and to take appropriate action to settle the claims on behalf and for the account of the insurance undertaking, including the payment of compensation therefor; claims representatives should have sufficient powers to represent the insurance undertaking in relation to persons suffering damage from such accidents, and also to represent the insurance undertaking before national authorities including, where necessary, before the courts, in so far as this is compatible with the rules of private international law on the conferral of jurisdiction.

La Suède et la Finlande déclarent que la convention du 6 février 1931 entre le Danemark, la Finlande, l'Islande, la Norvège et la Suède comprenant des dispositions de droit international privé sur le mariage, l'adoption et la garde des enfants (dite "convention nordique sur le mariage") ainsi que son protocole final s'appliqueront intégralement dans les relations entre la Suède et la Finlande, en lieu et place du règlement (CE) n°1347/2000, dès que sera entré en vigueur entre la Finlande et la Suède l'accord du 6 février 2001 portant modification de la convention nordique.
Sweden and Finland declare that the Convention of 6 February 1931 between Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden comprising private international law provisions on marriage, adoption and guardianship (known as the "Nordic Convention on Marriage"), together with its Final Protocol, will apply in full in relations between Sweden and Finland in place of Regulation (EC) No 1347/2000, as from the date on which the agreement of 6 February 2001 on the amendment of the Nordic Convention enters into force between Finland and Sweden.
