Skipping ahead to my conclusions — and thank you for your indulgence — Canada is poised to set a dangerous precedent that could well undermine the standards that have been painstakingly achieved in international humanitarian law and which could render our nation complicit in the continued use of a weapon that has shattered the lives of thousands of innocent people, mostly children, in different parts of the world.
