Notes that the large number of European financial instruments and co-financing programmes generates confusion and uncertainty among the public and private entities that want to make use of them; expects the Commission to be more active in helping potential applicants find the appropriate funding or financing instrument by providing orientation, recommendations and individual assistance to determine the most effective means of disbursement to applicants; hopes for a rationalisation and coordination of the financing instruments, including structural funds, in order to encourage their efficient use within a single coherent framework; welcomes, in this regard, the Commission’s idea of cross-policy grouping of instruments such as the Connecting Europe Facility, to exploit cross-sectoral synergies; calls on the Commission to ensure that cross-sectoral projects, such as smart grids, are prioritised;

If Member States control instruments which are in service and which bear EEC signs or marks, and if separate directives do not specify the way in which the controls are to be carried out and the maximum errors permitted in service, the control requirements, and in particular the maximum errors permitted in service, must bear the same ratio to those applied before instruments are put into service as the ratio applied to instruments complying with national technical requirements which have not been harmonised at Community level.

Nonobstant les dispositions de l'article 1er premier alinéa, un instrument en service portant des marques ou signes CEE mais ne satisfaisant pas aux exigences de la directive particulière y relative, notamment en ce qui concerne les erreurs maximales tolérées, peut être mis hors service dans les mêmes conditions qu'un instrument revêtu des marques nationales.

Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1 of Article 1 (1), an instrument in service which bears EEC signs or marks but does not satisfy the requirements of the relevant separate Directive, in particular with regard to maximum permissible errors, may be banned from service in the same way as an instrument bearing national marks.
