L’idée d’établir un Institut européen de technologie (IET) a été évoquée dans l’examen à mi-parcours de la stratégie de Lisbonne par la Commission en février 2005 et le Conseil européen avait pris acte des intentions de la Commission à ce sujet au mois de mars.
The idea of establishing a European Institute of Technology (EIT) was mentioned in the Commission’s mid-term review of the Lisbon Process in February 2005 and the European Council took note of the Commission’s intention in March.
