IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

À la suite de sa communication intitulée «Améliorer et moderniser l’enseignement» (7 décembre 2016), la Commission européenne a lancé le 30 mai 2017 une nouvelle initiative pour la jeunesse concernant les écoles et l’enseignement supérieur: la «stratégie en faveur d’un enseignement de grande qualité, inclusif et tourné vers l’avenir».
Following its Communication on improving and modernising education (7 December 2016), the European Commission has launched a new youth initiative on schools and higher education entitled ‘Strategy for high quality, inclusive, and future-oriented education’ on 30 May 2017.

Le premier est le problème de l'analphabétisme fonctionnel non seulement chez les élèves des écoles mais également dans l'ensemble de la population adulte (D, F), le deuxième est la question particulière de l'abandon prématuré de la scolarité (D, FIN, IRL, NL) et le troisième est l'importance croissante de l'éducation et de la formation tout au long de la vie et de l'acquisition de nouvelles compétences de base comme apprendre à apprendre, les langues, les compétences sociales, les TCI et le sens de l'entreprise.
The first is the issue of functional illiteracy not only among pupils, but also in the whole adult population (D, F), the second is the particular problem of early school leaving (D, FIN, IRL, NL) and the third is the growing importance of life long learning and the acquisition of new basic skills like learning to learn, languages, social competencies, ICT and a sense of enterprise.

Les partenariats soutenus au titre des programmes Comenius et Apprendre en ligne ont donné une dimension et une perspective plus européennes aux écoles et amélioré le climat des écoles, en termes de coopération entre enseignants et élèves et entre les différentes matières dans les établissements participants[9].

On the other hand, I would like to point out to Mr Sógor that Slovak children in Hungary have to learn in Hungarian from nursery school through to primary school and secondary school, and that they have Slovak only as a foreign language.

Le plan d'action "Apprendre dans la société de l'information", lancé en octobre 1996 a permis, à travers quatre lignes d'action, notamment d'initier une coopération prometteuse au sein du réseau européen des écoles (EUN) auquel coopèrent vingt ministères de l'Éducation en Europe ou encore d'effectuer des activités de sensibilisation à l'usage d'Internet dans le cadre de l'opération Netd@ys.
The four-pronged action plan "Learning in the information society", which was launched in October 1996, made a promising start on cooperation within the European multimedia network of schools (EUN), involving twenty European ministries of education. A further aspect was the promotion of Internet use by the Netd@ys operation.
