Monsieur le Président, les réponses que j'ai obtenues du gouvernement hier à mes questions sur le financement des avortements ne faisaient aucun cas des demandes pressantes de groupes tels que l'OMS et Human Rights Watch, selon lesquels les initiatives en matière de santé maternelle et infantile doivent permettre aux femmes de disposer d'un grand choix de méthodes contraceptives et de renseignements complets sur lesquels fonder leur choix et prévoir des services d'avortement et de soins post-avortement qui soient sûrs.
Mr. Speaker, yesterday the responses by the government to my questions on abortion funding omitted the pleas from groups like the WHO and Human Rights Watch that say that maternal and child health initiatives must make “available a wide range of contraceptives based on full information and women's choice”, and provide “safe abortion and post-abortion services”.
