En vertu de l’article 3, paragraphe 2, du règlement, aussi longtemps que ses pouvoirs n’ont pas été vérifiés ou qu’il n’a pas été statué sur une contestation éventuelle, M. Hortefeux siègera au Parlement et dans ses organes en pleine jouissance de ses droits, à la condition qu’ils aient effectué au préalable la déclaration écrite selon laquelle ils n’exercent pas une fonction incompatible avec celle de député au Parlement européen.
Under Rule 3(2), until such time as his credentials have been validated or a ruling has been given on any dispute, Mr Hortefeux will take his seat in Parliament and on its bodies and will enjoy all the rights attaching thereto, provided he has previously made a written declaration stating that he does not hold any office incompatible with that of Member of the European Parliament.
