(A) Whereas this application is based on Article 2 a) of the EGF regulation and targets for support a total of 642 dismissed workers, including 554 workers made redundant during the reference period 4 October 2011 and 4 March 2011 in ALDI Hellas Supermarket Holding and its supplier Thessaloniki Logistics and 88 workers dismissed before and after the reference period in ALDI Hellas;

(D) considérant que les autorités grecques expliquent que ALDI Hellas, bien qu'ayant développé un plan stratégique sur dix ans visant à ouvrir jusqu'à 400 magasins en Grèce, a enregistré des pertes cumulées de près de 182 millions d'euros entre 2005 et 2010 (2008 et 2009 comptant pour 58 % de ces pertes); considérant que ALDI Hella a annoncé, le 16 juillet 2010, qu'il sera mis fin à la mise en œuvre du plan et que tous les magasins existants seront fermés, en raison de la détérioration des conditions de marché;
(D) Whereas the Greek authorities explain that, ALDI Hellas, despite developing a ten-year strategic plan to open up to 400 stores in Greece, noted cumulative losses of almost 182 million Euro between 2005-2010 (2008 and 2009 count for 58% of those losses); whereas ALDI Hellas announced on 16 July 2010 that due to the deteriorating market conditions, the implementation of the plan will be stopped and all existing stores will be closed down;
