The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples has taken the Daniels case, the late Harry Daniels — a very good friend of mine, probably a friend of yours as well — to the Federal Court of Canada where they argued that the federal government does have responsibility for the Metis and non-status Indians under section 91.24.
