DECISIONS ADOPTED BY WRITTEN PROCEDURE ON 12 SEPTEMBER 1996 ADAPTATION OF THE FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE ON OPEN NETWORK PROVISION AND THE DIRECTIVE ON LEASED LINES Following the political agreement reached at its meeting on 27 June 1996, the Council formally adopted, by a qualified majority, its common position on the proposal for a Directive amending Directives 90/387/EEC and 92/44/EEC in the telecommunications sectors.

2. Le Conseil a adopté la décision portant nomination de M. Antonio GÓMEZ FAYRÉN, membre suppléant du Comité des régions, en remplacement de M. Juan José GARCÍA ESCRIBANO, pour la durée du mandat de celui-ci restant à courir, soit jusqu'au 25 janvier 1998.
2. The Council adopted a Decision appointing Mr Antonio GÓMEZ FAYRÉN an alternate member of the Committee of the Regions, in place of Mr Juan José GARCÍA ESCRIBANO, for the remainder of the latter's term of office, i.e. until 25 January 1998.
