Cependant, comme la Commission en a rendu compte dans ses recommandations précédentes adressées à la Grèce, la crise actuelle des réfugiés et des migrants continue d'exercer une pression sur le régime d'asile et le système de migration grecs, la Grèce étant le principal pays de première entrée à partir de la route de la Méditerranée orientale.
However, as the Commission has reported in its previous Recommendations addressed to Greece, the current refugee and migration crisis continues to place pressure on the Greek asylum and migration systems as the main country of first entry from the Eastern Mediterranean route.

1. In order to support Italy and Greece to better cope with the exceptional pressure on their asylum and migration systems caused by the current increased migratory pressure at their external borders, Member States shall increase their operational support in cooperation with Italy and Greece in the area of international protection through relevant activities coordinated by EASO, Frontex and other relevant Agencies, in particular by providing, as appropriate, national experts for the following support activities:

Instead of granting the "tax exemption" for cars laid down in the Directive, Greece currently taxes cars brought into Greece by individuals moving to Greece from another Member State at a rate of one fifth (20%) of the tax normally paid before a car can be put on the road in Greece.

Moreover the Commission adopted proposals for amendments to Regulation No 974/98 on " the introduction of the euro" and No 1103/97 on "certain provisions relating to the introduction of the euro" in both cases including Greece in the list of the eleven countries currently participating in the euro.
