TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Grâce à des amendements de compromis élaborés conjointement par la GUE, les Verts, le PSE et les libéraux, et également à des amendements individuels déposés par des membres de ces groupes, nous avons obtenu, il me semble, un certain nombre d’avancées importantes.
Thanks to compromise amendments drawn up jointly by the Confederal Group of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left, the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, the Socialist Group in the European Parliament and the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and thanks also to individual amendments tabled by Members of these groups, it seems to me that we have taken a number of important steps forward.

Le groupe GUE semble faire une confusion quant à l’objectif du suivi ethnique qui consiste simplement à recueillir des statistiques sur les progrès des minorités ethniques qui serviront de base à une future action.
There is some confusion from the GUE Group about the purpose of ethnic monitoring which is simply to collect statistics on the progress of ethnic minorities so as to be a basis for future policy.

Sur ce point, il y a lieu, il me semble, de soutenir l'un des amendements présentés par nos collègues du groupe GUE/NGL qui estiment nécessaire de surseoir à la mise en œuvre d'un système de droit à polluer tant que le Conseil et les États membres n'auront pas élaboré et ratifié un plan opérationnel de mesures pour la réduction des gaz à effet de serre incluant l'ensemble des secteurs concernés et particulièrement les transports et l'agriculture.
On this point, it seems to me that there is a case for backing one of the amendments tabled by my colleagues in the Confederal Group of the European United Left – Nordic Green Left, who deem it necessary to stay the implementation of a system of entitlement to pollute until the Council and the Member States have drawn up and ratified an operational plan of measures to reduce greenhouse gases, encompassing all the sectors involved, especially transport and agriculture.

Le groupe GUE/NGL, en revanche, semble ne pas voir de lien direct entre la présence prolongée de la personne de Slobodan Milosevic sur la scène politique des Balkans et l'instabilité constante dans la région, un an après la fin de l'intervention de l'OTAN contre les actions massives d'épuration ethnique entreprises par les Serbes au Kosovo.
The Confederal Group of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left, on the other hand, does not seem to see any direct link between the continuous presence of Slobodan Milosevic on the political stage of the Balkans and the continuing instability in the region, one year on from the end of NATO’s intervention against Serbia’s ethnic cleansing which affected Kosovo on a massive scale.
