On demanderait plutôt au gouvernement de reconsidérer sa position et qu'il finisse par reconnaître le consensus québécois en matière de main-d'oeuvre, qu'il accepte que l'efficacité repose dans le fait qu'on puisse donner au gouvernement le plus près des gens la responsabilité de les former, de leur donner la formation adéquate, de faire qu'on n'ait plus, à l'avenir, à faire de différence entre un assisté social et un chômeur, et entre quelqu'un qui ne reçoit pas de chèque d'un gouvernement et quelqu'un qui en reçoit, qu'on ait une intervention globale, une politique active d'emploi.
We would ask the government, instead, to reconsider its position and finally recognize the consensus in Quebec in terms of manpower training, to realize that the only efficient solution is to have the government closest to the people provide the appropriate training so that, in the future, we will no longer make a difference between welfare recipients and the unemployed, between those who get a government cheque and those who do not, but we will have instead an overall proactive employment policy.
