Comme le gouvernement n'a pas su mettre en place un registre national des délinquants sexuels et que le registre des armes à feu qui existe déjà va probablement disparaître, que dirait le député si le gouvernement utilisait le registre voué à l'échec, avec ses systèmes, ses ordinateurs et son personnel, pour suivre à la trace les délinquants sexuels, au lieu de s'entêter à maintenir un registre mal conçu et déjà condamné pour contrôler les armes d'épaule que possèdent d'honnêtes citoyens?
With the failure of the government to implement a national sex offender registry and the probable collapse of the gun registry that is already in existence, what would the hon. member think of the idea of using the ill fated registry with its systems, computers and personnel to track sex offenders instead of continuing with an ill thought out and ill fated gun registry of long guns owned by honest citizens? It could be used to do two things: first, to register sex offenders and to track them and, second, as a DNA databank.
