Si le texte de loi était rédigé comme il aurait dû l'être, si la nature de la relation a été définie et que les droits fondamentaux des Premières nations étaient reconnus, le sous-amendement proposé par M. Bigras s'harmoniserait parfaitement avec le reste puisque le comité et le gouvernement consulteraient pleinement les Premières nations.
So if this legislation were properly drafted in the way they would draft it, saying, “This is the relationship, and this recognizes our fundamental rights”, the particular subamendment Mr. Bigras proposed would fit very much into that, because they would be sitting in full consultation with this committee and with this government.
