La Commission suit de près la période de transition pendant laquelle les quelques nouveaux États restants doivent adhérer à l'accord de garanties trilatéral auquel est adjoint le protocole additionnel – conclu entre Euratom, l'AIEA et les États membres de l'Union européenne non dotés d'armes nucléaires – et la suspension de leurs accords de garanties bilatéraux avec l'AIEA qui en résulte.
The Commission closely follows the transition of the few remaining new Member States with respect to their adherence to the corresponding trilateral safeguards agreement including the Additional Protocol between Euratom, the IAEA and the non-nuclear-weapon States in the EU and the resulting suspension of their bilateral safeguards agreements with the IAEA.
