Nous espérons donc que l'accord-cadre amènera un changement important de politique du côté fédéral consistant à reconnaître officiellement la nation métisse et le droit de nos gouvernements d'être à la table des négociations pour faire valoir nos droits, pour que nous puissions définir les modalités d'accès aux divers programmes et services dispensés par les ministères fédéraux et répondre ainsi aux besoins urgents de nos collectivités.
So we're hoping that the framework agreement will bring about a significant policy shift on the part of the federal government and will amount to recognition of the Métis Nation, our governments at the negotiating tables to implement our rights, and ways in which we can access various programs and services from the various federal departments to begin addressing some of the urgent needs in our communities.
