In the absence of this information, however, it was in the exercise of its powers of taxation that France appeared to have reserved a more favourable tax treatment for the restructuring of the upper part of EDF's balance sheet, in relation to the reclassification of the grantor rights provided for in Article 4 of Act No 97-1026.
