La rivière s'est creusé un passage entre les montagnes, formant des chutes qu'on appelle Virginia Falls, deux fois plus hautes que celles du Niagara — d'où émerge presque un impressionnant rocher appelé Mason Rock.
The river carves its way through the mountains, drops over Virginia Falls — a waterfall twice as high as Niagara Falls — with its magnificent Mason Rock, and runs through four major canyons, among the deepest in Canada, and almost as deep as the Grand Canyon.
