The Decision of the Schengen Executive Committee of 16 December 1998 on cross-border police cooperation in the area of crime prevention and detection (SCH/Com-ex (98) 51 rev 3) (9) and the Decision of the Schengen Executive Committee of 28 April 1999 on the improvement of police cooperation in preventing and detecting criminal offences (SCH/Com-ex (99) 18) (10) are hereby repealed.

La décision du Comité exécutif de Schengen du 16 décembre 1998 concernant la coopération policière transfrontalière en matière de prévention et de recherche de faits punissables (SCH/Com-ex(98) 51 rév. 3) et la décision du Comité exécutif de Schengen du 28 avril 1999 concernant l'amélioration de la coopération policière en matière de prévention et de recherche de faits punissables (SCH/Com-ex (99) 18) sont abrogées.

(5) Enfin, conformément à la décision 2000/645/CE du Conseil du 17 octobre 2000 portant correction de l'acquis de Schengen contenu dans la décision SCH/COM-ex (94) 15 rév. du Comité exécutif de Schengen(4), le document SCH/II-Vision (99) 5 (ci-après dénommé "Réseau de consultation Schengen - Cahier des charges"), qui, entre autres, définit les principes selon lesquels doit s'appliquer la procédure informatisée de consultation, aux fins de la délivrance de visas, des autorités centrales visées à l'article 17, paragraphe 2, de la convention, doit être annexé à la décision SCH/Com-ex (94) 15 rév. du Comité exécutif de Schengen. Il est également nécessaire que les dispositions du "Réseau de consultation Schengen - Cahier des charges" soient adoptées et régulièrement modifiées et mises à jour.
(5) Finally, pursuant to Council Decision 2000/645/EC of 17 October 2000 correcting the Schengen acquis as contained in Schengen Executive Committee SCH/Com-ex (94) 15 rev (4), document SCH/II-Vision (99) 5 (hereinafter referred to as "Schengen Consultation Network (Technical Specifications)") which, inter alia, lays down the principles pursuant to which the computerised procedure for consultation, for the purposes of issuing visas, of the central authorities referred to in Article 17(2) of the Convention must be applied is attached to Schengen Executive Committee decision SCH/Com-ex (94) 15 rev. It is also necessary that the provisions of the Schengen Consultation Network (Technical Specifications) be adopted and regularly amended and updated.
