3. Where the law of a Member State makes explicit provision for the withdrawal of the mandate of a member of the European Parliament, that mandate shall end pursuant to those legal provisions.

Afin d’atteindre un compromis, j’ai essayé, par l’entremise du rapporteur, de déposer un amendement qui pose la condition suivante à l’exercice du mandat d’arrêt européen : le mandat d’arrêt européen ne peut être mis en œuvre que pour des délits qui ont été commis sur le territoire de l’État requérant.
In order to strike a compromise, I have tried to table an amendment via the rapporteur which prescribes the following condition for the European arrest warrant: a European arrest warrant may only be issued for offences committed on the territory of the requesting State.

1. If two or more Member States have issued European arrest warrants for the same person, the decision on which of the European arrest warrants shall be executed shall be taken by the executing judicial authority with due consideration of all the circumstances and especially the relative seriousness and place of the offences, the respective dates of the European arrest warrants and whether the warrant has been issued for the purposes of prosecution or for execution of a custodial sentence or detention order.
