As the content of the EUROPASS-Training document must be understood throughout the EU, it must affirm in the different EU languages that the training pathway or periods of training have been completed.

(8) L'Europass-Formation créé par la décision 1999/51/CE doit donc être remplacé par un document analogue d'une portée plus large, destiné à consigner toutes les périodes de mobilité transnationale à des fins d'apprentissage, à quelque niveau que ce soit et indépendamment de l'objectif poursuivi, accomplies en Europe et satisfaisant à des critères de qualité appropriés.
(8) The Europass training document established by Decision 1999/51/EC should therefore be replaced by a similar document with a wider scope, serving to record all periods of transnational mobility for learning purposes, at whatever level and for whatever target, achieved throughout Europe, which satisfy appropriate quality criteria.

Takes the view that further instruments to support the EQF should be fostered in order to facilitate public access to the EQF, with the main focus on the Copenhagen and Bologna conclusions, to which the EQF should form a logically structured starting point; takes the view that special attention should also be given to the contribution of international organisations and European centres such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training in the field of learning and the acquisition of qualifications and skills; calls on the Commission to progress the development of the European Credit of Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) system to further develop and promote the Europass and to develop the "Ploteus" data bank and to promote further innovative approaches to the recognition of informal and non-formal learning;

Conformément à la Décision « Europass-Formation », la Commission doit présenter, avant la fin de l'année 2001, un rapport d'évaluation au Conseil et au Parlement européen sur la mise en œuvre de la Décision et, le cas échéant, proposer des changements.
In accordance with the "Europass-Training" Decision, the Commission must by the end of 2001 submit an assessment report to the Council and the European Parliament on the implementation of this Decision and, if necessary, propose changes.
