Il convient néanmoins de procéder à certaines adaptations des émoluments et autres prestations actuels dont bénéficient les titulaires de charges publiques afin de tenir compte des évolutions institutionnelles que connaît l'Union et de moderniser la structure des émoluments, notamment en prenant en considération, lorsque cela est nécessaire, les changements introduits par le règlement (UE, Euratom) no 1023/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil (ci-après dénommé «statut»).

(2) L'article 19 de l'annexe XIII du statut, tel que modifié par le règlement (UE, Euratom) n° 1023/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil, vise à permettre aux institutions de prendre les mesures nécessaires pour régler leurs différends portant sur les adaptations des rémunérations et pensions pour les années 2011 et 2012 en se conformant à un arrêt de la Cour de justice, en tenant compte des attentes légitimes des membres du personnel de voir les institutions statuer chaque année sur l'adaptation de leurs rémunérations et pensions.
(2) The purpose of Article 19 of Annex XIII to the Staff Regulations, as last amended by Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1023/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, is to enable the institutions to take the necessary measures to settle their disputes concerning the 2011 and 2012 adjustments of remuneration and pensions in compliance with a judgment of the Court of Justice, taking due account of the legitimate expectation of staff that the institutions are to decide each year on the adjustment of their remuneration and pensions.
