Sur plainte déposée par le Conseil Europeen de l'Industrie Chimique (CEFIC1) la Commission a ouvert en août 1992 une enquete anti-dumping sur les importations de ethanolamine en provenance des Etats Unis2). Il s'agit d'un produit qui se présente sous trois types différents (MEA monoethanolamine, DEA diethanolamine et TEA triethanolamine) et qui est utilisé dans le fabrication des détergents, des produits de soins, des cires etc.L'enquête sur la période juillet 1991-juin 1992 a conduit aux résultats suivants: - Dumping: la marge moyenne ponderé pour les différentes entreprises américaines s'echelonne entre 62% et 91%.
Following a complaint lodged by the European Council of Chemical Manufacturers' Federations (Cefic)1 the Commission initiated an anti- dumping investigation in August 1992 on imports of ethanolamine originating in the United States.2 There are three forms of this product (MEA or monoethanolamine, DEA or diethanolamine and TEA or triethanolamine) which is used in the manufacture of detergents, cleaning products and waxes, etc. The enquiry covered the period from July 1991 to June 1992 and the findings were as follows: - Dumping: The average weighted margin for the various American companies was between 62 and 91%.
