Cette action, organisée dans l'esprit du mécanisme qui sera prochainement mis en place, a permis à la Commission, en coopération étroite avec le consul général de Belgique, d'établir des contacts avec les autorités new-yorkaises afin de leur faire connaître les possibilités de soutien proposées par l'Union européenne.
This action carried out in the spirit of the forthcoming Mechanism allowed the Commission, in close co-operation with the Belgian Consul General, to establish contacts with the New York authorities, to present the potential support available from the European Union.
