Mr. Gurbax Malhi (Bramalea—Gore—Malton—Springdale, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, I was pleased to announce on behalf of the Minister of Industry and Technology Partnerships Canada a $3.9 million investment into MD Robotics, a space robotics company in my riding of Bramalea—Gore—Malton—Springdale.

Quant à l'accroissement des échanges commerciaux, les exportations canadiennes vers l'Union européenne profiteront de réductions des droits de douane atteignant presque 60 p. 100. Les droits sur les exportations canadiennes vers le Japon seront réduits de 70 p. 100. Ces baisses de droits auront des répercussions importantes sur les entreprises de Bramalea-Gore-Malton qui exportent vers l'Europe ou vers les marchés naissants des pays de la région du Pacifique.
In terms of improving trade opportunities, Canadian exports to the European Union will benefit from tariff reductions of almost 60 per cent. Tariffs on Canadian exports to Japan will be reduced by 70 per cent.
