Afin de permettre à la Commission de décider si l’échantillonnage était nécessaire et, dans l’affirmative, de sélectionner un échantillon, les producteurs-exportateurs établis aux États-Unis ont été invités à se faire connaître dans un délai de quinze jours à compter de la date d’ouverture de l’enquête et à remplir un formulaire d’échantillonnage, comme indiqué dans l’avis d’ouverture, en fournissant des informations de base sur leurs activités liées à la production et à la vente de bioéthanol au cours de la période allant du 1er octobre 2010 au 30 septembre 2011 (ci-après dénommée «période d’enquête» ou «PE»).
In order to enable the Commission to decide whether sampling would be necessary and if so, to select a sample, exporters/producers in the USA were asked to make themselves known within 15 days from the date of the initiation of the investigation and to reply to a sampling form providing, as specified in the notice of initiation, basic information on their activities related to production and sales of bioethanol during the period from 1 October 2010 to 30 September 2011 (‘the investigation period’ or ‘the IP’).
