Centré sur les écoles (il existe plus de 300.000 établissements d'enseignement pré-scolaire, primaire et secondaire dans la Communauté), un des lieux principaux d'échanges et de contacts entre les différents acteurs du monde éducatif, et mise en oeuvre par le biais de projets et de réseaux de projets de coopération transnationaux, l'action communautaire dans le domaine de l'éducation pourrait s'articuler sur les axes suivants : - favoriser la coopération des établissements scolaires à travers, entre autres, la mobilité et les échanges de jeunes et leur fournir ainsi l'occasion de rencontres et de confrontations à des environnements diversifiés; - sensibiliser les enseignants et autres personnels éducatifs à la dimension européenne de l'éducation lors de leur formation et encourager à cet effet les coopérations et les échanges entre instituts de formation d'Etats membres différents; - développer l'enseignement des langues, et accroître par là la mobilité vers d'autres pays et la possibilité de communiquer avec d'autres cultures; à cette fin, renforcer l'action communautaire sur la base de l'expérience acquise dans le programme Lingua et encourager le développement de matériels et autres supports pédagogiques; - encourager une plus grande exploitation des possibilités offertes par l'enseignement à distance et les systèmes multimedia pour aider les jeunes à s'adapter aux évolutions professionnelles ou à d'éventuelles reconversions, et faciliter le transfert des connaissances; - promouvoir l'innovation pédagogique et sa diffusion en favorisant au niveau européen l'établissement de réseaux de chercheurs qui se pencheraient sur les besoins d'éducation et de formation et sur les méthodologies; des dispositions en ce sens sont prévues dans la proposition pour le IVème programme cadre de RDT de la Communauté; - renforcer les échanges d'informations et d'expériences sur les méthodologies et systèmes d'éducation des Etats membres, leurs réformes et les innovations dével ...
Centred on schools (there are more than 300 000 pre-school, primary and secondary education establishments in the Community), which are one of the main places for exchanges and contacts between the various people involved in education, and implemented by means of projects and transnational cooperation networks, Community measures in the field of education could be based on the following points: - encouraging cooperation between education establishments by means of, for example, mobility and exchanges of young people, providing them with the opportunity to encounter different environments; - making teachers and other people involved in education more aware of the European dimension in education during their training and, to this end, encouraging cooperation and exchanges between training institutes in different Member States; - developing language teaching, thereby increasing mobility vis-à-vis other countries and the possibility of communicating with other cultures, strengthening Community action to this end on the basis of experience acquired through the Lingua programme, and encouraging the development of teaching materials; - encouraging greater exploitation of the possibilities offered by distance education and multimedia systems to help young people adapt to occupational developments or, where necessary, retraining, and facilitating the transfer of knowledge; - promoting educational innovations and their dissemination by encouraging the establishment at European level of networks of researchers into education and training requirements and methodologies; provisions to this end are set out in the proposal for the fourth framework programme of Community activities in the field of research and technological development; - strengthening exchanges of information and experience relating to the education systems and methodologies of Member States, their reforms and innovations, and thereby profiting from the considerable knowledge acquired through the work of the ...
