Frans Timmermans, a déclaré à ce propos: «Les efforts conjoints que nous avons déployés face à la crise migratoire ont produit des résultats concrets, en entraînant notamment une diminution significative des arrivées irrégulières tant en Méditerranée orientale qu'en Méditerranée centrale.
