M. Karygiannis voudrait qu'on apporte un autre changement au projet de loi, mais nous voilà face à une réalité politique bien précise, à savoir que le gouvernement pourrait être renversé à la fin février, si bien que le Parlement serait dissous; ainsi, nous n'avons tout simplement pas assez de temps pour analyser un amendement et passer par toutes les étapes requises pour le faire approuver par le gouvernement, par le Cabinet et ensuite par le comité, avant que le projet de loi puisse être adopté. Voilà l'avis de mes supérieurs.
Mr. Karygiannis would like one further change, but the reality is that politically this government and this Parliament could very well fall at the end of February, and there is simply not enough time to have an amendment and go back through the wheels of government and through cabinet and back to this committee for it to pass.
