Considers that the current arrangement, whereby Member States second teachers to the European Schools is not equitable since Member States providing teachers who teach in a widely-spoken language (for example, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland with 308 and Germany and Austria with 239 out from 1.390 seconded teachers) bear a disproportionate financial burden; more autonomy for European Schools is requested also regarding the recruitment of teachers, which would increase the responsibility of the European Schools and lead to a more efficient system;
