Welcomes the above-mentioned Commission Communication of 21 December 2007 which sets out clear objectives as to how the Europa website can be turned into a service-oriented web 2.0 site; urges the Commission to complete construction of the new site as early as 2009 and believes that the new website should provide a forum for citizens to share their opinions and participate in online polls, where all NGOs, public institutions and individuals may share their experiences of their EU communication projects; calls on the Commission to collect and publish on this webpage the experiences of beneficiaries of the activities funded under Plan D;

Depuis des années, le Parlement européen promeut, en l'organisant et en la cofinançant, conjointement avec l'Union interparlementaire – une organisation internationale dont le siège est à Genève – la "Conférence parlementaire sur l'OMC", qui est un lieu où des parlementaires du monde entier échangent des avis, des informations et des expériences sur les questions du commerce international et assurent à l'OMC une dimension parlementaire: 1) en supervisant les activités de l'OMC et en contribuant à en promouvoir l'efficacité et l'équité, 2) en promouvant la transparence des procédures de l'OMC et en améliorant le dialogue entre les gouvernements, les parlements et la société civile, 3) en développant dans les parlements les capacités en matière de commerce international et en exerçant une influence sur l'orientation des discussions au sein de l'OMC.
For some years, the European Parliament has promoted, organised and cofinanced, together with the Interparliamentary Union (a Geneva-based international organisation) the ‘Parliamentary Conference on the WTO’, a forum in which members of parliament from all over the world exchange their views, information and experience in relation to international trade issues and provide the WTO with a parliamentary dimension by (1) scrutinising the activities of the WTO and helping to make them more effective and fair, (2) promoting transparency in WTO procedures and improving the discussion process between governments, parliaments and civil society and (3) developing expertise on international trade in the national parliaments and influencing the course of discussions in the WTO.

Considers it necessary to intensify cooperation between the Commission and national supervisory authorities, and among national supervisory authorities, and in this connection suggests promoting exchanges of officials and joint meetings such as study seminars and the like, at which they can exchange opinions and experience, and suggest to require the national competition authorities that want to abolish the advantage of Community group exemption to provide the Commission and the other national competition authorities with information on the subject;
