The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of NBS Nordic Broadband Services AB (UPC Sweden) by private investment firms Carlyle Europe Partners II L. P (“Carlyle”) and Providence Equity Offshore Partners V LP (“Providence”).
