Cette assistance microfinancière complète l'importante aide au développement que la Tunisie reçoit déjà de l'Union, dans le cadre de la politique européenne de voisinage, par l’intermédiaire de l’instrument européen de voisinage (IEV) et d’autres instruments financiers extérieurs de l’UE.
This macro-financial assistance programme complements the significant EU development assistance which Tunisia already receives in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy through the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) and other EU external financial instruments.

La Tunisie a également bénéficié, depuis 2011, de plus de 1 milliard d’euros de subventions par l’intermédiaire de l’instrument européen de voisinage et d’autres instruments de coopération extérieure de l’UE.

First, we encourage the committee to review the policy reasons that an international consensus has formed among other international agencies, including DFID, the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, USAID, Sida, the Danish International Development Agency, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, UNICEF, the United Nations Democracy Fund, and many others to commit substantially to funding media development initiatives that prioritize child rights and other themes.

(22) Consistency and complementarity with other Union legislation and actions should be ensured, in particular with the Development Cooperation Instrument established by Regulation (EU) No 233/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council including the DEAR programme, the European Development Fund, the European Neighbourhood Instrument established by Regulation (EU) No 232/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and other Union instruments for financing external action, where relevant to development policy.
