Le 15 novembre 1995, les États-Unis ont obtenu le renouvellement de cette dérogation pour la période allant jusqu'au 30 septembre 2005, puis, une seconde fois, le 29 mai 2009 pour la période allant jusqu'au 31 décembre 2014, dans les proportions nécessaires pour permettre aux États-Unis d'admettre en franchise de droits les importations de produits éligibles originaires de pays et territoires bénéficiaires d'Amérique centrale et des Caraïbes (ci-après dénommés «pays bénéficiaires») désignés conformément aux dispositions de la loi relative au redressement économique du bassin des Caraïbes (Carribean Basin Economic Recovery Act) de 1983 telles que modifiées par la loi relative à la relance économique dans le bassin des Caraïbes (Carribean Basin Economic Recovery Expansion Act) de 1990 et par la loi sur le partenariat économique États-Unis — bassin des Caraïbes (United States-Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act), la loi sur les opportunités atmosphériques de Haïti par l'encouragement au partenariat (Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement Act) de 2006, la loi sur les opportunités atmosphériques de Haïti par l'encouragement au partenariat (Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement Act) de 2008 (ci-après dénommé «dérogation existante»).
On 15 November 1995 the United States was granted a renewal of that waiver to 30 September 2005, and again on 29 May 2009 to 31 December 2014, to the extent necessary to permit the United States to provide duty-free treatment for imports of eligible products originating in beneficiary Central American and Caribbean countries and territories (‘beneficiary countries’) designated pursuant to the provisions of the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act of 1983 as amended by the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Expansion Act of 1990 and by the United States-Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act, the Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement Act of 2006, the Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement Act of 2008 (‘existing waiver’).
