Le Parlement, en première lecture, s'est montré particulièrement soucieux d'ajouter un objectif supplémentaire important, à savoir la résolution du problème des déversements accidentels de carburant diesel sur la chaussée qui font courir des risques de plus en plus grands aux usagers de la route, notamment aux cyclistes et aux motocyclistes.
Parliament, at its first reading, was particularly concerned to add an important extra objective, namely to address the problem of diesel fuel spillage on the highway, which has been posing an increasing safety hazard for road users, particularly riders of motor cycles.
