En ce qui concerne la définition d’«exploitation», la CDE établit le droit de l’enfant d’être protégé contre «l'exploitation économique et de n'être astreint à aucun travail comportant des risques ou susceptible de compromettre son éducation ou de nuire à sa santé ou à son développement physique, mental, spirituel, moral ou social», ainsi que contre toutes les formes d'exploitation sexuelle et de violence sexuelle, notamment l’exploitation à des fins de prostitution ou de production de matériel pornographique.
With regard to the definition of “exploitation” the CRC states the right of the child to be protected from “economic exploitation and from performing any work that is likely to be hazardous or to interfere with the child’s education, or to be harmful to the child’s health or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development” as well as from all forms of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse, in particular the exploitation of children in prostitution or pornography.
