These rules relate to interinstitutional cooperation in general and to more specific problems (classification of expenditure, the matter of legal bases, incorporation of financial provisions in legislative acts, etc.) which had not been resolved by the 1993 agreement or which were dealt with under other arrangements (agreements or joint declarations) agreed between the institutions.

(1) Dans la déclaration commune des parties contractantes relative aux règles d'origine, jointe à l'acte final du protocole définissant les conditions et modalités de la mise en oeuvre de la seconde étape de l'accord créant une association entre la Communauté économique européenne et la République de Chypre, et portant adaptation de certaines dispositions de l'accord(3), signé à Luxembourg le 19 octobre 1987 et entré en vigueur le 1er janvier 1988, il a été convenu que la Communauté et le Conseil d'association adoptent, après l'entrée en vigueur dudit protocole, une décision sur les demandes de dérogation supplémentaires aux règles d'origine présentées par Chypre pour des produits relevant des positions nos 6102 et 6103 du tarif douanier commun, repris depuis le 1er janvier 1988 dans les positions nos 6204, 6205 et 6206 de la nomenclature combinée (NC).
(1) It was agreed, in the joint Declaration by the Contracting Parties concerning the rules of origin, attached to the Final Act of the Protocol laying down the conditions and procedures for the implementation of the second stage of the Agreement establishing an association between the European Economic Community and the Republic of Cyprus and adapting certain provisions of the Agreement(3), which was signed at Luxembourg on 19 October 1987 and entered into force on 1 January 1988, that the Community and the Association Council would, once the said Protocol had entered into force, take a decision on additional Cypriot requests for derogations from the rules of origin applicable to products under heading Nos 6102 and 6103 of the Common Customs Tariff, included as from 1 January 1988 in headings Nos 6204, 6205 and 6206 of the Combined Nomenclature (CN).
