Même si le sénateur Duhamel aurait préféré rester dans ses fonctions ministérielles à titre d'élu, on ne peut qu'applaudir son entrée au Sénat qui bénéficiera beaucoup de sa longue expérience politique et de sa connaissance particulière des rouages gouvernementaux.
Even though Senator Duhamel might well have preferred to remain in his elected position and his ministerial duties, we cannot help but rejoice at his coming to the Senate. It will benefit greatly from his long political experience and particular knowledge of the ins and outs of government.
