Lorsque ladite marchandise a subi en zone franche ou en entrepôt franc des manipulations usuelles au sens de l'article 109 paragraphe 1, l'espèce, la valeur en douane et la quantité à prendre en considération pour la détermination du montant des droits à l'importation sont, sur demande du déclarant et à la condition que lesdites manipulations aient fait l'objet d'une autorisation délivrée conformément au paragraphe 3 dudit article, celles qui seraient à prendre en considération en ce qui concerne cette marchandise, au moment visé à l'article 214, si elle n'avait pas été soumise auxdites manipulations.
2. Where the said goods have undergone, in a free zone or free warehouse, one of the usual forms of handling within the meaning of Article 109 (1), the nature of the goods, the customs value and the quantity to be taken into consideration in determining the amount of import duties shall, at the request of the declarant and provided that such handling was covered by an authorization granted in accordance with paragraph 3 of that Article, be those which would be taken into account in respect of those goods, at the time referred to in Article 214, had they not undergone such handling.
