Tout reste du produit de l’assurance, ou la part d’un tel reste à laquelle chaque bénéficiaire aura droit, sera payable par versements échelonnés sous forme de rente. Si, toutefois, le reste du produit de l’assurance à payer sous forme de rente à un bénéficiaire quelconque est de 1 000 $ ou moins, le ministre pourra, à la demande dudit bénéficiaire, ordonner que ce reste du produit de l’assurance soit payé en une somme globale ou en plusieurs versements et de la manière que le ministre jugera à propos.
The remainder, if any, of the insurance money, or the portion thereof to which any beneficiary is entitled, shall be payable in instalments as an annuity; provided, however, that where the insurance money remaining to be paid as an annuity to any beneficiary is $1,000 or less, the Minister may, upon the request of the said beneficiary, direct that such money shall be paid in such manner and in such amounts, including payment in a lump sum, as the Minister may consider appropriate.

Par décision du 11 décembre 2001 , la Commission a estimé que la législation italienne avait institué un régime d'aides incompatible avec le marché commun et a ordonné la récupération des aides illégalement octroyées auprès des banques bénéficiaires. Celles-ci ont dû payer un montant égal à l'impôt non acquitté en raison dudit régime .
In a decision of 11 December 2001 the Commission took the view that the Italian legislation had introduced an aid scheme incompatible with the common market and ordered recovery of the aid granted unlawfully to the beneficiary banks, which had to pay an amount equal to the tax not paid as a result of that scheme .
