The compensation rules in international law, to which you refer, represent precisely the sort of compensation that we are not willing to allow our citizens to have, in that they should not have to take upon themselves the burden of major court proceedings in order to get what is rightfully theirs, and so I have to ask whether there can be changes in this area, and whether we can come to a clearer definition of the concept of ‘force majeure ’.

Il existe donc une solution pour tous les problèmes de droit international auxquels la Convention de Genève est confrontée et cette solution, nous la déterminons conjointement, chaque jour, au sein du Parlement européen, où 15 nationalités collaborent pacifiquement.
So there is a solution to all these humanitarian issues which are referred to the Geneva Convention, and this solution is co-determined by us on a daily basis within our European Parliament, where 15 nationalities cooperate in a peaceful manner.
