C’est pourquoi j’espère que la nouvelle constitution permettra d’appliquer la procédure de codécision et la majorité qualifiée dans les dossiers fiscaux, auquel cas le Parlement pourrait plus aisément approuver la proposition de la Commission moyennant certains amendements et revenir sur la question en deuxième lecture.
I therefore hope that in future a new constitutional agreement will allow the use of the codecision procedure and qualified majority decision-making in matters of taxation, making it much easier for Parliament to adopt a Commission proposal with certain amendments and return to the issue at second reading.
